For years I worked in a building with many inspiring filmmakers: up and coming and established. It was a hub of activity with numerous productions prepping on a daily basis. Our little division focused on music videos and was considered to have a “finger on the pulse” of those creative up and comers. There was a vibrancy of characters in our division that stood out from the norm. Not that anyone was ever dressed in suits and ties (it was a film production company after all) but we were definitely made up of unique characters that inspired one another.
After my move to Los Angeles, our L.A. division consisted of me in a tiny office. Contrary to what you might think, though, I dressed for work every day! It felt necessary to take things seriously even if I didn’t see anyone during the day. There is something about adding some style to make your day more worthwhile!
I met Claire Vogel while we were prepping a job and over the course of time, it was apparent to me that her style was unique unto itself. You could tell that Claire really enjoys playing with fashion and allows herself to be functional and imaginative at the same time. Much like her work…
