Love & Cocktails

We are super excited about a workshop we’re taking at the LA based store Poketo.  It’s a Modern Cocktail workshop with the geniuses behind Pharmacie LA, now extremely sought after mixologists for events, weddings and other social gatherings requiring cocktails! Cocktails swirl around at parties and social gatherings to generally allow people to partake in mingling and consorting with one another. Remembering our own folks many such celebrations makes us so nostalgic for the days before electronic devices. One of our most favorite pastimes is creating a signature drink each year to help get such gatherings going and create a dialog amongst each other. 

Check back after the end of February as we put or workshop skills to work and create some more signature cocktails for assorted occasions throughout the year!

For this simple mix we created something sweet and light with a little red thrown in the mix.

Blood Orange Valentine Cocktail

1 oz Citrus Vodka (Grey Goose Le Citron or Absolut Citron)

2 oz Fresh Squeezed, slightly chilled, Blood Orange Juice

1 oz Sparkling Water

Dash of sugar or more depending on sweetness of Oranges

Mix and serve with sugared glass

Of course we had to start our day off right so we indulged on a delectable Blood Orange Mimosa!

One Part Champagne or Sparkling Wine

One Part thoroughly chilled fresh Blood Orange juice

Seems like a perfect Valentine’s Day start to me!
