Three, Two, One…

With these last few lines we welcome in a New Year in the most celebratory fashion. As we say good-bye to 2013 and enter into 2014 with great hope and anticipation, some reflection is in order.  For The Poetry of Living, our first year was full of discovery and growth…opening a window into the creative spirit and learning a bit of what drives certain people to perfection in their given field. Most of what we learned is to love what you do and be grateful for being able to do what you love every day. This seems key in developing a successful business but most importantly: a successful spirit.

Resolutions aren’t something that we typically make, but one of our dreams for 2014 is that the philosophy at the core of Poetry of Living continues to grow. Hopefully, more doors into homes that inspire us will open, more cooking, baking & family meals will fill our home and meeting more inspiring individuals who are doing what they truly love. 

As with anything, our site will continue to evolve and grow.  Some things may shift, but most importantly we promise that our integrity will remain. Our hopes are to create, have more guest writers, more features from other destinations and, of course, a few surprises along the way.  We also are aiming to grow our Instagram and Twitter pages further. (Please follow us there as well, if you haven’t already!!) 

So, we bid a fond adieu to 2013 and look forward to 2014 & the lives we get to explore…including our own!
