Lately my obsession has been with creative workspaces. Hours on Pinterest researching this topic somehow allows me to believe that the more creative looking the environment, the more creative you will become! This is rubbish, of course, but there is a certain amount of inspiration that is beneficial to draw from even though it may come in the form of procrastination. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
Recently we decided to move a large cabinet that was blocking a wall in our dining room. This opened up endless possibilities of what to put on this blank space and realizing that we had an abundance of framed prints and not enough space for them, our “gallery wall” was created! Coincidentally, this wall sits to the right of my small desk in our multipurpose dining, bar, music, Poetry of Living office and general hang out room. Really, does one need such a large space just for dining? Even the dog enjoys lounging here as the rays of sun stream beautifully through the large picture windows. Our quest to create an inspiring atmosphere works for the most part, definitely pushing me towards sitting and writing more than it did in the past!
