Smoothies have become a staple in our house, especially after a week long vacation of eating out. Mixing fruits both fresh and frozen w/ dark leafy greens while maintaining a taste my daughter still loves is one of my favorite things! The following simple smoothie recipe has all these things.
Tropical Green Smoothie (2 servings)
1 ½ – cups sugar free vanilla coconut milk
4 – 5 slices (chopped) of fresh pineapple or ¼ cup of frozen chunks
¼ cup of frozen chopped mango
2 large Kale leaves, stem removed (Lacinato preferred)
1 Tbsp Agave sweetener
1 Tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder (preferably soy free and gluten free)
2 tsp Chia Seeds
4 ice cubes
Place ingredients in blender as listed and blend until smooth.
Enjoy your daily dose of fruits and veggies on a warm summer day!
